What did I do over the weekend?

First, skiing at Lapham Peak. After a nice trip around the big loop, I went up to the top of the hill where the tower is.

Art is where you find it. Have you ever paid attention to those "Caution Wet Floor" signs? They put up seemingly hundreds of them where I work, everyplace the floor might possibly be wet. Usually you are at greater risk of tripping over the wet floor sign than you are of actually encountering a wet, slippery floor. It turns out that there are actually many subtle variations on the pictogram of the slipping man. Behold, my Slipping Man set on Flickr!

I have a set of snow photos in case anyone isn't getting enough snow and wants to look at mine.

Gerbils are cute. Artemis the gerbil is a member of exapno's household, and you can see photos of him here.

I'm going to just blame the German pack for this, but I've acquired some candles and stuff. No lantern so pretty as lisande's, but that red candle is "Mexican Cocoa" scented :)

The Milwaukee River can be pretty in the evening. Three of these photos were taken last week from the Marsupial Bridge that hangs beneath the Holton Street Viaduct shortly after sunset, plus one more of the bridge itself taken some time ago during the day.

I've been in a flickr-frenzy recently, and have a few sets that might be of interest to some.

• The Fourth o' July. Photos of fireworks, and a few nifty ones of people with glowing things walking past in the semi-darkness before the show.


• There Must Be An Easier Way. Construction workers dumping trash using a big fork lift in a way that just seems awkward.


• Camping at Pike Lake, and a subset of that, the Astronomy Trail scale-model solar system there.

Plus tons of other stuff not yet in sets. And some stuff has been geo-tagged! Can I waste time? Yes I can!
